As a music video director, I get to work with truly talented individuals and help their ideas come to life. Whether it be on the beach, on the road or at the studio; if the music isn’t good, no Hollywood effect is going to save it. So what are the best top hip hop songs to me? I have many songs I really like, ranging from talent such as Lil’ Wayne, to Eminem, the Black Eyed Peas to Snoop Dogg. But the talent that I have had the opportunity to work with has meant something more to me, because I was able to live the music in front of me. Directing a music video is so much more intense than having a singer in front of you like a concert; it’s interaction that is hard to discribe.
Working with the actors and models is no joke either, and I’ve worked with quite a few over the years here in Los Angeles. I haven’t shot to many ‘booty shaking’ style videos yet, but I will be in the near future. Lately I’m more focused in choreography and effects, but I am always open to collaborating in different genres and styles.
